Welcome to e-barter ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the platform you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use e-barter.
1. Who can use e-barter
You must be 18 or older, a Nigerian resident or otherwise legally allowed to barter goods and services in your jurisdiction, and able to enter binding contracts.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for the security of your login and any activity under it.
- You must provide accurate information and complete identity verification when asked.
- One person, one account. Multiple or fake accounts can be suspended.
3. Listings & trades
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your listings.
- You must own the items you list and have the right to trade them.
- You agree to follow our Trading Rules and Prohibited Items Policy.
4. Barter Coins
Barter Coins (₿C) are closed-loop in-app credits used to top up trade value. They are not cash, not redeemable for cash, and cannot be withdrawn. Coins have no monetary value outside e-barter.
5. Escrow & disputes
e-barter provides an escrow mechanism to hold value during trades. Releases, refunds and dispute resolutions are governed by our Escrow & Dispute Policy. Admin decisions on disputes are final at the platform level.
6. Prohibited conduct
- No fraud, misrepresentation, scams or money laundering.
- No harassment, threats, discrimination or unlawful conduct.
- No circumventing escrow, fees, or platform rules.
7. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate any account that breaches these Terms, the Trading Rules or applicable law. We may also remove any listing at our discretion.
8. No warranty
e-barter is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not a party to trades between users.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, e-barter is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform or any trade.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
